Pictures of Angola
This picture is taken from the bridge between Ilha de Luanda, Ilha de Chicala
and mainland Luanda. The water (to the south of the bridge) is Baia de Chicala.
Chicala is the southern part of Ilha de Luanda. In a distance, a little to the
left, we see the Neto Monument, started by the Societ Union as President Neto
died, but never completed. The white apartments to the left of the Neto Monument
are, in fact, in the central heights of Luanda. They were constructed by the
Cubans in the late 1970's.
