the bird
I look up on the sky,
And see you.
A bird on up there.

I see how you fly,
Flapping your wings
To gain speed.

I whish I could join you,
Fly across the sky,
In such a graceful manner.

Can’t you teach me to fly,
To be free like you,
To glide across the sky?

I want your freedom,
The one that allows you
To fly away,
Just like I want to.

history
The history is long,
New things each year

Wars are started,
And ended

Weapons are made,
And used

People are born,
And killed

Cars are made,
and crashed

Our past is sad,
But we control our future

dangerous future
Future is coming,
Closer.
Be careful
It won't bite;
It wont shoot,
But it will hurt
Badly

Hurt you?
Hurt me?
It will hurt someone.

Future is coming,
Closer
Keep what you love
It might break it;
It might steal it,
Just keep it in sight
All the time

Just keep it,
Close to you.
It's yours

a suppressed
You stand there
Holding your poster
I stand here
Holding my poster
We are here
Holding our posters

They are white
We are black

He holds his gun
It is loaded
She holds her gun
It is loaded
They hold their guns
The guns are loaded

They are white
We are black

Our posters are homemade
Their guns are shooting
We are running
They are shooting
We are fleeing
They are killing

They are white
We are black

I am dying
They are unhurt
I am crying
They are joking
I am nothing
Only a nigger

what will I create
My life is empty
I know nothing,
I own nothing,
I can do nothing.
Except for shooting

My heart is broken
I love nothing,
I hope nothing,
Except for freedom

My childhood is gone
I never play
I never laugh,
I never loved
I never hugged my mum

society
I am captured
In society,
In my life,

I am captured
By my parents,
By my friends,

I am captured
By my sister,
By my cat

I can't stand it,
The lack of freedom
Demanded by society

future
The sun is high
And hot
The work is hard
And everlasting
The food is scarce
And rotten
The hope is killed
And buried
The future is gone
And will never be seen
Future is just like today

the poem
What did I do to you?
I never hurt you,
But you hurt me

Do I deserve this?
I never hit you,
But you hit me

What is wrong?
I never kicked you,
But you kicked me

Why don't we equalize?
I always worked for you,
But you never worked for me

Can't we stop this?
I never whipped you,
But you whipped me.

hope
It is needed in our world
It is needed for development
It is needed for happiness
It is needed for life

With it you are happy
With it you are free
With it you are great
With it you are powerful

just like you
I have a house,
The size of your kitchen
I have a family,
twice the size of yours

I have a job,
and half the wage of yours
I have a car,
double the age of yours

I had a spouse,
She had two
I had a daughter,
she got sick

I live this way,
Many people do,
I whish I could
Live just like you

the war
Where is our future?
Is your plan,
Dear leaders,
To bomb the world.

We need a future.
With the wars
As they are,
We have none.

We need a future.
We can't make it,
You need to help us
And we'll help you

Where is our future?
If the plan is,
Dear leaders,
to kill...
Do it somewhere else

the colony
White men came
They entered our house,
Stole my dad
And left, with him

I couldn't
Worship my god
Talk to my father,
Walk where I wanted to.

Suddenly I was sad
I used to be happy,
I used to play games,
Now my life was destroyed

Nothing worked,
The town stopped,
Nobody knew what happened
Nor did we know why it happened

As the town woke up
While things were getting normal
The white men returned,
This time they killed our leader too

feel
There it was again
What was it?
A feeling of happiness,
A feeling of strength,
A feeling of freedom

The feeling was special
What was it?
The way a bay feels when it sees
Its first rays of sunlight?
Or only the way I feel...
Freedom
